Lauren Chase

Lauren Chase is a lecturer at California State University Channel Islands and Ventura Community College teaching courses on infant and child development, curriculum and assessment as well as supervising student teachers in classrooms. Awarded Community Engaged Faculty in 2021, Lauren is passionate about building strong partnerships with local community partners and preparing pre-service teachers to engage young children through play and partnering with families for best outcomes for children and family strengthening. Lauren has presented Nationally and Internationally with faculty and students on Learning Stories.

Lauren began her career in higher education in 2014 after working in preschool age, infant toddler program classrooms and in private home settings. Lauren resides in Ventura County with her family, she is married with two young children. Her and her family spend their time playing, gardening, and camping with the hopes of getting outside more through travel.
