Red and Lou move to California and are migrants to a new place with a whole new system to learn. Like their approaches to working with children, they use their prior knowledge of the Australian context to discern the similarities and differences between the two nations. The dance with the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Australian National Quality Standard with the DRDP.

Dr. Red Ruby Scarlet & Louise Dorrat
Dr Red Ruby Scarlet and Louise Dorrat have been working in early childhood for over 35 years. They also have qualifications in drama and dance. Together they combine their experience and expertise in early childhood curriculum, systems, social justice, and the creative and performing arts to create innovative, inclusive and ingenuous approaches to professional development. Louise and Red first met via social media and they instantly could tell they were fellow dynamic dramaturgical thespians! Lou asked Red to sing and dance in the closing number at a conference almost 10 years ago, meeting for the first time at rehearsal. The rest is early childhood musical history! They have performed the NQF the Musical 40 times across Australia and New Zealand.
